I was attending indie band’s gig : My First Story “The Ending of The Beginning” Tour at Ebisu Liquidroom, Tokyo on 28.09.2013
Oh yes, Live House. Great place to feel alive.
Before they announced their gig on that date, actually we’re aiming for Straightener at Chiba Look (it was before the news of Space Shower event been announced too). But since it was in Chiba and It took some times to reach Tokyo and we afraid we couldn’t catch our night bus to Osaka in time so we decided to drop the gig. Then My First Story announced this gig, and days after that Space Shower announced its event, so finally we could see Straightener! (J rock universe loves us!) .
By the way, after all plans were fixed, I finally figured out that there’s a night bus from Chiba to Osaka, so actually we could watch Tener at Chiba Look, just like our initial plan, but if we found out about it beforehand, probably we couldn’t watch My First Story at Liquidroom!
Ebisu Liquidroom, is one of my “most wanted venues” , it’s like for normal tourist.. going to popular Shrine or other tourism spot? .. (My most wanted venues : Zepp Tokyo, Shibuya AX, Nippon Budokan, Ebisu Liquidroom, Hibiya Yaon, Shibuya Club Quattro, and Chiba Look) , so it means still aiming for Shibuya Club Quattro and Chiba Look. But… don’t know when will i put my feet back there.. lol
Okay, here’s the story. We left our big luggage at hostel (for free! they said they’re okay about that, since we’re going back on Sep 30 to stay there again), so we only bring our backpack. Oh, why? since after this gig, we would take the night bus to Koriyama, Fukushima, to attend another live on the next day and we wouldn’t stay overnight there. Busy fangirl is busy. lol.
Arrived at Ebisu Station, after spent times in Shibuya. Afraid there wouldn’t be enough lockers at the venue so we put our backpack at station’s locker (just one 300yen locker, we shared). We looked for the Liquidroom location, but we lost. haha! Life is not interesting without getting lost for sure. No, not because we could not read map, but because the map was not clear enough. lol. The map said it should be around 4 minutes walk, but… yeah, we lost.
So, after found and looked at the streets’ map, finally we reached Liquidroom, and when we got there there was long lining, we had no idea what’s the lining for, but we assumed it’s for goods, so we… joined them. Aim for their shirts and towel…and finally regretted for not buying their rubber band π¦ . After we changed the shirts, we used lockers again, glad some empty venue’s lockers left, and put stuffs in it.
When we lined, there were games (guitar and drum – games) using MFS’ songs, and there’s a guy who was totally caught the attention since he played sooo good!. He picked the highest level (some kind of advance?) then got the good point! even the staffs were surprised. Later, he surprised the members too since he surpassed the score of the MFS’ member (Live House, many communications could happened) .
Staffs shouted our numbers, then we got in, and yes, it’s small. So nice to see you again Live House.
It was still not so much of ppl inside, some ppl were packing to the stage while some ppl were just standing near the bar, those were the people who wouldn’t join the mosh. My friend without no hesitation picked the center front, she’s ready to fight, lol. Meanwhile me, picked the corner-front. My consideration for not joining the mosh : first, I only knew some of their songs. second, I was going to watch [c] on the next day, afraid would collapsed. i know and realized, i’m not that young anymore. haha..
Lights off, they came out and BAM! first song started, i knew i’ve decided to calm down and just stay at the corner (Teruki’s side) until the end, but man, my feet were automatically moving to pack to center and jumped and.. pushed.. and hit… people started to moshed, body…up, lol.. BUT after that, I remembered “no, don’t push yourself this night, you’re going to see [c] next day, and their crowd is not easy too”, seriously, this thought came to my mind when I jumped and stepped someone’s stuff, which later I said sorry and she smiled sorry too (I have no idea, oh japan’s crowd). So I decided to went back to the corner by…. hitting some ppl, sorry, but the only way to get out from moshing crowd is by pushing and hitting horizontally (?).
Got my spot back, corner, a spot where ppl from moshing got back to the crowd, so yes, stink, but nice /lho, in front of Teruki,. he’s cute btw. But Hiro still caught my attention, he has the magnet, he’s a good looking boy. Seriously. Good Looking. Here’s the truth, it’s really hard for me to get my eyes off of Hiro for the last 2 hours, eventho i didn’t know much of their songs. But my eyes were locked by him. His stage act was good! and he’s still 19!
MC, they gave a gift to audiences. How they selected the winner, this was quite funny. I kinda forgot all the questions, but I remembered they asked who likes the band so much? then all ppl raised their hands, then they said, how can we decided, lol. Then there was a question about who will attend this gig tomorrow (they held the gig for 2 days at Liquidroom), and the raising hands could be counted, then someone screamed that day was her birthday *pointing at her friend*, than the other one was screaming too that it was her birthday too, then the band told them to do janken to decide the winner. Yes, they did janken, it was quite funny since the first girl was in the moshing part, while the other girl was in standing part. And the winner was being asked to get on the stage to get the prize! lucky her!
I couldn’t recall all the MCs since I remember….my Japanese is bad! -__-“
Another story was.. Hiro jumped off of the stage! what a brave kid.
“The Reason” I liked this song and their live . As I expected. So yes, Jumped. But still on the corner, no, didn’t come to center. I need to stick to my decision. They played “γθ±γ -0714-“ sweet song. and my fave song “ζη΅εSTORY“ it’s a hard rock song, so yes, crowd’s getting crazy throwing themselves in the air.
In the end of their concert, they asked the audience to take a picture together. Just right in front of me, a boy automatically sit on another’s boy shoulder, and definitely blocked my view , so, yeah, my face was blocked by him and his friend.. lol..
The interesting thing : the boy in front of me who used other boy’s shoulder, i thought they were friends, but not! after taking pic, that boy on top, said “arigatou” and “otsukare” to the other boy, then they took different way joining their real groups, and that were happened to the others around too. This was interesting for me! I really like the way they’re enjoying their moment in Live.
After the gig, we decided not to exchange the drink ticket since the it was a badget,so we kept it as souvenir. lol.
Ebisu Station to Shinjuku Station, then take a night bus to Fukushima for [champagne].
