Hi There,
This post is about スペシャ・ザ・ワールド- Space Shower The World- at Hibiya Yaon Open-Air Concert Hall on 23 Sep 2013

After we decided to extend our Trip, I searched for another event in Tokyo / Osaka (since we also planned to go to Osaka&Kyoto between Dreamfest – My First Story ) . Then, Space Shower announced this event via its twitter, it’s at Hibiya Yaon! (one of my Bucket Lists of Venues) and when I saw the line up, to be honest, at that time, I only knew three bands (BIGMAMA, Straightener, and THE BACK HORN), not really listening to them, but all i want was to be in “Melodic Storm” live by Straightener.
Another story, actually I almost forgot to search for this event tix, I almost forgot about this event cos of one thing and another, so i forgot the balloting period *shoot me*. Glad public sales didn’t sell out fast, so we could buy at website tix . well, at last, it’s not a sold-out show (how come?!), they still sold the tix at venue.
So, we took the Train to Kasumigaseki Station from Shinjuku Station. Why Shinjuku Station? that’s because we had to put our big luggage into the locker in Shinjuku Station, which near the Willer Bus Terminal. Why Willer Bus Terminal? that’s because right after this event, we would take the night bus to Osaka, 1 AM bus. And as people know, searching empty lockers in Shinjuku Station is quite a hardwork, even when you got the lockers, you need an extra brain to remember the location (Shinjuku Station, you just ..ah!)
Arrived at Kasumigaseki Station, walked to the venue. There were Government Buildings around our walk to the venue,
and the surprising story continued..
We were totally amazed by the venue’s location
Hibiya Yaon is located inside Hibiya Koen. Yes, just when we stepped inside the park, I remember my friend said this “I’ve already like this place eventho the concert hasn’t started yet” . That place is PRETTY! and the weather that day was not too hot or too cold, adem gitu.
My mind kept saying this “I will watch Rock Concert in this beautiful place! Seriously?! Oh God, You’re so kind, too kind, I’m so happy. Very Much” . We joined the line for official goods, which said only available in 150 pieces, and still amazed, and still… looking around.

This is right in front of the venue area ♥
The Concert
This time they have announced the line up’s schedule, so we’ve already known who’s gonna showing first.
This time’s crowd was different than Dreamfest (and more looking good guys too,lol ), so this was another new experience for us.
Sakanamon
Tell you the truth, first time i listen to this band was when i planned to attend this event.
They said it was their first time in this “Space Shower the World” event, and also their first time having gig in Hibiya.
It was an interesting performances. I wasn’t familiar with their song, but I could enjoy their live.
Result : I listen to their CD everytime i went to Tower Records, thinking to get one, but too bad my pocket didn’t allow it.
The Salovers
Same like Sakanamon, I was not familiar with this band
Same like Sakanamon too, it was their first time.
Both The Salovers and Sakanamon are interesting young band, but my ears prefer Sakanamon.
I enjoyed their performance too. Nice to know them
東京カランコロン
Same like Sakanamon and The Salovers (lol), but this performer really caught my attention
They have two vocalists (boy and girl) , and the girl’s voice is a typical Japanese girl’s voice, the one with high pitch note, and usually, i don’t like that kind of voice but surprisingly for this band, i LIKE it! Perhaps because the music composition, and her collaboration voice with boy vocalist, sounds good in my ears.
I really like the boy vocalist’s voice too, he sounds better in live than in recording or video, imo. and his stage act was interesting too, he likes to jump, and moving around, or in other words, full of expressions.
Overall their music is interesting to me. Their mixed sounds are good!
My fave is ×ゲーム ~ ♥, the live was so good.
Would love to see them again.
BIGMAMA
They hit their stage with their new song “Alongside”. It was my first time listening to the song, and oh, I LOVE it ♥
The vocalist is a good looking man, and he sounds better live than in recording or video, imo (again) and The violin girl, she’s so cool.
“Until the blouse is buttoned up“, that’s the song i’ve been waiting for, since it’s my first song of them. as always at their live, it started with asking the crowd to sing “woooo~~oooo~~ooo” , and then the acoustic guitar played. yeay! jump!
It was beyond my expectation. Too good!
To be honest, sorry to say, I never thought their live will be as awesome as this. It’s like their instruments melted each other.
I wanna see their one man live! They’re awesoooooome!
Straightener
Who would doubt their live? Great band. my precious “Melodic Storm” moment. They played it as a closing song, i was happy. So happy. Very much happy. I thought I would never be a part of that moment, but finally I did. Grateful.
As always, The Drummer stood up on his chair, then hyped the crowd, then……. Melodic Storm was started.
When Straightener came out, the sun had gone down, it was dawn, the buildings around already turned on their lights, and the sky was beautiful. It was…beautiful moment.
The fun of “From Noon till Dawn” and “シンクロ” , Horie-san with that keyboard, sang with soft voice (reminds me of androp’s End Roll moment), it’s another beautiful performance.
I never thought that I would see Straightener Live in Hibiya Yaon. Very Happy.
The Back Horn
Another band that I could say, same like 9mm Parabellum Bullet. If you’re looking for the real rock band, this is the real one.
They could bring the hype of the crowd. People were excited by their performance.
I remember there were a woman in front of us who came late, then sat on her chair until The Back Horn came out, she jumped.
They had encore! People were clapping over and over asking for ankoru~
They’re truly rockstar. Wanna see them again, for sure.
ah! and Yamada-san, is the one who created the words “I love you (in japanese katakana)” for the shirt’s design.
They were perfectly closing this event.

and after this event, we dragged our feet (yes, dragged) back to Shinjuku Station, and headed to Osaka.
I didn’t change my clothes, cleaned myself at WBT’s Toilet, so right after i got on the bus, I slept.
Two-first-day of our trip was perfect.
Tired, but super happy. Nothing compared to this priceless feeling.
Sorry for my bad English.
