Attending ONE OK ROCK “Who are you?? Who are we??” Tour on 21, 22, 24 Nov 2013.
They announced their tour around first-quarter of 2013. At first they announced for Europe tour, but then there was further announcement that they’ll reach other Asia too. Surprised? Definitely No, i’ve predicted this since last time they came to Singapore, and the amount of their fans was increasing like crazy, so no wonder they reached other countries too.
Since the dates were close, so it’s possible to do country hopping for their concerts, me and my friends decided to catch them in Malaysia, Singapore, and our hometown, Indonesia.
Why did I follow 1 band in 3 countries?
Beside to take a break from office works, well, I’ve been seeing their live for three times before, and as i remember, I really like One OK Rock’s live, it’s full of energy, so I could forget everything and just jumping. Other reason : they’re one of the two Japanese Bands that I know all of their songs.

KL Live , Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia ( 21 November 2013 )
This was my first time going out from LCCT, so I was excited!
We took the Skybus from LCCT to KL Sentral, then took the LRT to KLCC then walked to KL Live (all directions were guided by Syu and finally we met after knowing on twitter for years ♥).
We reached KL Live around 2 PM and found out ppl already lining up, but it wasn’t long. We decided to have lunch first before lining up.
Then rest of what I was doing before live was……….waiting… waiting.. and waiting… until the open gate time. (At this time, I DO MISS JAPAN LIVES FOR THEIR NUMBERED TICKETS)
There was a delay for the show. The open gate time should be at 7PM and there should be an opening act, but in fact they opened the gate around 8PM. I quite worried if the show started at 9 PM, considering they had the opening act so it was possible that OOR could come out at 9.30 PM, so we need to rush catching 11.30 PM bus to Singapore. But then, around 8.20 PM, Avril’s song came out, eh? So the boys were ready to go on stage? no opening act then? . Okay, why I concluded that? cos last time I saw them in DreamFest 2013, there was Avril’s song played, then not long after that OOR came out. I guess all ppl who knew OOR already known that Toru is a big fan of Avril Lavigne. So yeah, my guessing was right. The Organizer cancelled the opening act due to some matters, so around 8.40 the boys showed up!
The setlist… should I gave the setlist? it’s already floating around internet for month, and they played the same setlist for the whole tour (except Taipe and its accident ).
Start with the Instrumental Music in their new album, then BAM! Ryota caught my attention. it’s Deeper Deeper. I tell you, for this whole tour I stood at Ryota’s side, and he just soooo adorable ♥ (especially in SG he just too asgdhunejmjjmkll)
Let’s take it Someday they played it again, and yes I’d love to squat and jump again. Be the Light, new method of singing, Taka? he didn’t face the audiences but he faced Toru for the whole song. Nothing Helps, my fave live from their new album.
I jumped and I headbanged most of the time, and I after that…….my neck and leg hurts ……….lol
MC part, they spoke Melayu.. lol! Good job, boys! Their encore was Wherever You Are , There were some boys around me, they made a group, line horizontally (?) then grabbed each other shoulders and singing together. I guess they really love that song. To be honest, I’m expecting them to sing Nobody’s Home instead (I’ve seen it live at Zepp once before, and it was ah-ma-zing!).
Then, after the show was over, we headed to the Bus stop to take the Night bus to Singapore. Tired, even to talk or think, but, seriously, as a Live Music Kece addict, I feel alive.
The Coliseum, Hard Rock Hotel, Singapore (22 November 2013)
Arrived around 4 AM in Singapore (Golden Mile Complex) , and I heard that ppl already lining up for the night show!.
Some of my friends already booked the lining since 4.30 AM! (thank you so much girls! ♥), so we split into two groups, one group was lining since morning until around 11.30 AM, while other went to the hostel, then we switched.
The lining in SG was crazy! but I love SG Organizer, they’ve already made a lining spot, so we weren’t just crowding randomly there.
On time, yep, all on time. Open gate time, there were stairs to reach the stage, so yes, after ticket checking, ppl had to run and took the stairst to reached the big hall, and so I ran, I forgot when was the last time I ran.. lmfao.
I chose the Ryota’s side, second row! woohoo! ……………and Ryota didn;t wear any shirt since he first showed up on stage.
Show began, same setlist, as I told before.
I could feel the crowd in SG was more “expressive”. They like to push (but still not that hard of being pushed in the moshpit in Japan Live).
They’re some of the audiences who fainted also. Most of them were girls (but there’s a boy too).
The Organizer, have I said I love them? They were really strict and looked out at the audiences, and they gave us water most of the time, so I didn’t get dehydration.
This time, I was in second row, right in front of the spot where members loved to stand when they switched place with Ryota.
So, yes, rock on baby!

My hometown, I think love you, but I HATE THE WAY YOU ORGANIZING THE LINING UP FOR MUSIC CONCERTS. SERIOUSLY!
Arrived around 4.30 PM, I have things to do in the morning, and yes, since I knew very much how this lining system gonna be, so …
there were lots of ppl…lining? NO, they are CROWDING. Seriously, they didn’t even know where the exact gates. and plus, they sold the merchandise INSIDE the venue after the gate, not to far from stage, for me, silly.
and lots of scammers around the venue, which sold the tickets for IDR 55rb (USD 5). Gah, annoying.
I forgot what time was it, there’s delay for opening gate time (as always in our lovely country, huh!), ppl were pushing ONLY TO ENTER THE TICKET CHECKING GATE, again, since THERE WAS NO LINING.
I chose Ryota’s side (again) , this time decided not to push myself to be in front, and just enjoying their first concert in my hometown.
Thanks to the boys, I guess they love being in Jakarta, since they said 3 times, they’ll come back to here. I was sooooo glad, they’re happy with the crowd.
Speaking about the crowd, since I was in the quite mid-back part, so, no one pushing, in fact, not much of ppl jumping around me, they even didn’t squat when being told to. but, it’s okay, I guess I got crazy jumping that night (as always for OOR concert).
But overall, the crowd behaved themselves. I was afraid if there will be kind of fighting in the crowd, but no, they did nicely. I’m proud of you Indonesian Crowd (eventho…. please jumping, that would be awesome).
Ah! the recording part, I read some reports or tweets that saying that the organizer always prevented audiences from recording the show, I don’t know, It didn’t happen in my standing area, No one prohibited ppl around me to record (which some times annoying, but at least, they didn’t do it all the time).
Setlist : same.
MC : They spoke BAHASA INDONESIA! and Ryota sang our National Anthem “Indonesia Raya”
Encore : Taka brought our flag to the stage. Nice.
Overall
First time doing Country hopping for One Man Live (last time, I only did City Hopping in Japan), and it was fun and I could meet lots of new people ♥
