Last Saturday, on Feb 15, 2014, I was attending Waku Waku Japan Music Festival, in Senayan, Jakarta, Indonesia.
Held by a local tv cable station and they invited … flumpool! yes, they’re coming to my hometown. Honestly, when I first like them, I never predicted them to come to my hometown. Seriously?!
I kinda like the way the show organizer managing the entrance lining. They’re strict, they asked us to line and watched us, if you’re not in the line, you had to move away and start from the back (tbh, it’s rarely happen in here, concert’s lining in Jakarta always messy, arrgh..)
The event has two open gate time, first was 5 PM, second one was 6 PM, while the show was planned to start at 7 PM.
There are 4 artist for this event : 3 were local artists (which one of them were sisterhood group from Japan), and flumpool!
I had the Festival A ticket (the price around USD 21), it was the nearest spot to the stage. Actually, I lined quite in the front, but there’s a trouble with my ticket (which has no barcode) that made me has to go to help desk, and needed to be verified first. It took quite some time, and I told the staff, hell no I was back to the lining, and they let me and my friend to got in without back to the lining. Well, I got the third row this time, between Ryuuta – Kazuki, and with my 5cm-insoles-converse, everybody was shorter than me, no heads.
Okay, let’s jump to flumpool performance. They hit the stage with Kakusei Identity , I automatically jumping, but since not much people knew the songs (some of them were sisterhood fans) or knew how to enjoy live music, most of the people stood stiil, just little bit moving their bodies (I already imagined if it was in Japan, front row, your body will automatically jumping since all of people were jumping). I was happy to meet flumpool again, and this time was so close. Hana ni Nare. Again, if you like to watch their live videos or came to their lives, you’d know when to clap, when to point, or when to jump. No I’m not making it difficult to watch live, it’s just, that’d be mooore fun if most of ppl did that (and for this song, yes, I remember Micchan’s voice sang it in RSG). Taisetsu na Mono ga Kimi Igai ni Miataranakute I LOVE LOVE this song, I was glad they played it. But maybe because this was the first time they came to Indonesia, and still not sure about audiences’ reactions, so they didn’t ask us to sing together (that was my fave part T__T ), and not much people sang “ooooo oooo” , well some did, but some didn’t. Yes, I know it’s not one man live, I could not ask for more about the audiences. Over The Rain I was shocked when they sang it, never expected this before. Nice! Hoshi ni Negai wo my favorite live song! Kazuki sang a bit of the lyrics. I jumped and jumped and jumped, and sang the part of 会いたくて。会いたくて。いま会いたくて ~ *curcol* Kimi ni Todoke as a closing song. Before they played it, Ryuta asked us to scream “hey” after him (just like their usual live). No encore, we’re screaming for encore but staff have moved away the band’s equipment (since the next performer was sisterhood group).
MC : They spoke Bahasa Indonesia, Nama saya (my name) … and Kazuki mentioned Indonesia foods, and ah! he introduced himself as Joe Taslim ( a local actor who well known for his kakkoii-ness) , and Ryuta said “no, you’re doraemon” (as always), and Kazuki said : “baling-baling bambuuu” —> this was funny. lol. Ryuta so cute when he put out his cheat note from his pocket to speak Indonesian.
They were interviewed by Event’s MCs , and when the MC asked Genki whether his hair was real or not, Genki said it was wig! while Seiji, didn’t talk much.
The event was finished around………. I forgot XD
I took a taxi back home, arrived around midnight, didn’t sleep since I’ve already booked another taxi for 3 AM to airport ( had 5.25 AM flight to Singapore to watch them again in Mini Acoustic Live)
Should I comment about this event and the how some local “press” reports this event especially flumpool?
errr.. okay, comment : It’s in Indonesia what do you expect? At that time, I miss watching concert with audiences who know their music
nb : a japanese man (staff?) came to me cos i wore NICO’s shirt and spoke japanese to me (he said NICO, it’s unusual) . The only word that came out from me was nico ga daisuki. *me and my poor japanese ability*
